When washing your hands, follow these good hand hygiene steps:

Wet hands under warm running water and add soap

Rub hands together

Wash back of both hands, including fingers

Interlock fingers and rub again

Rub around thumbs and fingertips

Rub nails on palm of alternate hand

Rinse hands and dry thoroughly with a disposable towel

Turn tap off with same towel and then throw away
